We have an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineering Design Draftsperson to join our Brisbane team. This fantastic role will suit someone looking to work on various projects in a friendly and supportive team with a growing market leader. This role is located in our Brisbane Office, which is centrally located in the heart of the city’s CBD.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare sketches, charts, tabulations, plans and detailed designs for civil engineering works including drainage, water supply, sewerage reticulation systems, roads, airports, dams, bridges and other structures
  • Collect and analyse engineering data and carry out calculations
  • Undertake documentation and design tasks with a demonstrated working knowledge in the use of 12D/Civil 3D at a  beginner level
  • Develop innovative solutions to problems and take necessary action to expedite the successful completion of assigned projects standards
  • Provide general assistance with the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
  • Ensure quality control processes for each project are implemented and documented
  • Liaise with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants and relevant authorities

Skills and Expertise

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering preferred (Bachelor's in Civil Engineering highly regarded)
  • Minimum 3+ years of civil engineering design and drafting
  • Proficient in Auto CAD software
  • Familiar with Australian standards
  • Demonstrated ability in setting up road, lot and drainage designs
  • Technical drawing and presentation skills
  • Spatial awareness
  • To be able to work both independently and as part of team environment
  • Good time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines
