We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our team. This fantastic role will suit someone looking to work on various projects in a friendly and supportive team with a growing market leader. This role can be located at either our Norwest or Sydney CBD offices, which are both located conveniently near public transport and entertainment.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, execution, and finalisation of projects across the full project life cycle. This includes coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan
  • Provide leadership to the project team by building and motivating team members to meet or exceed project objectives and milestones
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and subcontractor and/or subconsultants
  • Monitor and track project outcomes to resolve issues and critical path deliverables
  • Perform the duties of a contract superintendent and contract administrator, requiring adequate knowledge of construction industry practices, relevant legislation and standard for contracts
  • Manage variations, forecasting, and reporting
  • Business development and liaison with Orion’s clients
  • Experience with local government and service authority construction standards, specifications, and delivery processes
  • Ensure work output is of a technically high standard, meets client needs, and activities are commercially viable.

Skills and Expertise

  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering and/or Project Management qualification
  • 10+ years’ experience in project management and land development industries
  • Charted with Engineers Australia (desirable)
  • Extensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods and techniques
  • Strong technical and commercial acumen
  • Excellent understanding of project management principles, methods and techniques
  • MS Project experience with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • Strong time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines.
