Senior Project Manager - Land Development
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our Wollongong team. Responsibilities
- Planning, execution, and finalisation of projects according to strict deadlines and within budget across the full project life cycle. This includes the acquisition of multi-disciplinary resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan
- Support the Regional Director in achieving key project milestones and exceeding project objectives
- Prepare and implement comprehensive Project Management Plans across all project phases
- Manage day-to-day project activities, including resource allocation, budget control, and timeline adherence
- Preparation of fee proposals for new projects and contract variations that may span multiple disciplines, both within and external to Orion
- Monitor, track, and control project outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables
- Provide technical support to peers, as well as mentor junior staff, supporting their professional growth and knowledge development
- Ensure all work output is of a high technical standard, aligned with client requirements, and commercially viable
Skills and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline
- 6+ years of industry experience in urban development
- Strong technical and commercial acumen
- Extensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods, and techniques
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands
- Strong technical understanding of Civil Engineering for Urban Developments
- Excellent attention to detail
