In 2019, Orion engaged its first Advisory Group. In the four years that followed, we were challenged, had tremendous mentors at our fingertips, and led some great company initiatives with the backing and strategic guidance from this amazing group. Five years on, we are introducing the succeeding group to help take Orion to the next level.
Our Advisory members are experts in their respective fields, and their combined knowledge offers us with a fresh perspective on our operations. It has been a big year for Orion, and we’re fortunate to have their support as we expand our professional services capabilities across New South Wales and into Queensland.
They are phenomenal business and industry professionals, and we appreciate the wealth of knowledge and skills they bring to the table to keep Orion growing and moving forward. Below is a brief (well, I promise you, we tried to keep it brief but it’s hard with all their achievements) introduction of the Orion Advisory Group members:
Carmel Krogh OAM
Carmel is a water industry leader with over 40 years of experience, recognised for her contributions to civil engineering with a Medal of Order of Australia (OAM) in 2019 and an Australian Water Association Exceptional Service Award in 2023.

Currently, Carmel is a Non-Executive Director at Urban Utilities and coNexa Infrastructure Partners. Notably, she was the first female civil engineering graduate from UTS and has contributed to impactful international projects through AusAID.
Judy McKittrick
Judy is a highly experienced property development and planning strategy expert, previously serving as Head of Property Development and Portfolio Strategy at Boral’s Property Group. She has also worked with consultancy firms on major industry projects.
She has been actively involved in the development sector, serving on the NSW Urban Development Institute (UDIA) Board since 2006 and becoming its first female President from 2008 to 2010. She has also been a UDIA National Councillor and Judge, making significant contributions to the industry.
Martin Wells
Martin is a business leader, urban infrastructure expert, project manager and civil engineer with over 30 years of experience in Australia and New Zealand. With a strong technical background in urban development, infrastructure delivery, and agency approvals, he has been a key figure in shaping the industry.

He has held prominent roles with the Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA-NSW), serving as the UDIA President 2014 - 2016, served on the Sydney Water Corporate Customer Council, and contributed to numerous industry panels.
Looking ahead, the Orion Advisory Group remains pivotal to our growth and strategic direction. Their experience and insights will continue to guide us in delivering excellence across our projects, fostering innovation, and addressing the challenges of an evolving industry. With their continued support, we are confident in our ability to achieve our long-term vision and deliver exceptional results for our clients and communities. We are grateful to have such distinguished leaders contribute their time and expertise to Orion.
